The spider leg
This crab is called the arrow crab, or Stenorhynchus seticornis. The arrow crab is really like spiders, especially “daddy long legs” spider. Look at the all eight legs which are long and slim. Their legs length is three times of their body! The size of the arrow crab is variable, many reaching six inches, and some up to 10 inches. Females may be much smaller than males.
The Sharp Head
Not only their legs which are unique but also with their head. The arrow crab head have a sharp shape like an arrow ready to shot and fly! The uniqueness of their head and legs has more beauty with their white, brown and gold lined skins. Their leg’s edge is also beautiful, which colored purple grey.
Live in Coral Reef
The arrow crabs are also found in Caribeean Archipelago, Bahama Archipelago, and South America. Their habitat is in coral reef, about 3 to 9 meters depth. Commonly they are inhabited portions of the reef which are usually associated with a small cave or crevice. Different species inhabit different parts of the world.
